The National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) will host their 48th Annual National Conference in Columbia, South Carolina. NAMC’s annual conference continues in the organization’s mission of providing Access (contract & resource opportunities), Advocacy (legislative impact), and Contractor Readiness (training, capacity building, and growth) for members and other minority- and women-owned businesses. The association accomplishes its goals in collaboration with major corporate partners, strategic alliances, and public agencies. The Annual National Conference will be will be June 14-16, 2017 at Columbia Marriott Hotel in Columbia, South Carolina.
“During these ever-changing times, NAMC’s Annual Conference is a solution for minority- and women-owned businesses to stay ahead of industry trends and have direct access to purchasing agents, diversity officers and majority-owned firms that have construction contracts,” says Wendell Stemley, NAMC National President.
The 48th Annual National Conference theme “Laying Foundations that Build Stronger Futures” reflects NAMC’s commitment to increase opportunities for member and non-member conference attendees to 1) build relationships, 2) pursue opportunities, 3) expand market presence and 4) broaden resources and information.
This year’s conference is hosted NAMC South Carolina and sponsored by Richland County Government and the City of Columbia. The Conference activities include NAMC Women in Construction Luncheon and Mini-Conference, a FREE Contractors’ Trade Fair, NAMC Night Out and the Hall of Fame Gala.
