Music Beats Cancer Collaborates with C3 US-Arab Healthcare Summit and General David H. Petraeus

New York, NY – Music Beats Cancer, a 501(c)3 charity, announces its collaboration with the C3 US-Arab Healthcare & Business Summit in New York City on September 11, 2023, featuring 700 attendees worldwide, including representatives from 10 Arab nations and 45 countries.

The C3 Summit seeks to promote peace and diplomacy in the Middle East through the advancement of healthcare. In support of this, Music Beats Cancer will host an engaging round table discussion on the social, cultural, and societal barriers to fighting cancer in the Middle East, highlighting the power and promise of biomedical innovation to overcome these barriers. The charity will also host the exclusive live music networking reception, sponsored by Henry Schein and EisnerAmper, featuring the celebrated DJ Salty (Lee Kalt and Xandra K).

“Music is our unifier and our torch for change,” said Dr. Mona S. Jhaveri, founder and director of Music Beats Cancer, who was featured in TIME’s “The Future of Medicine” issue earlier this year. “We want to foster a global community of healthcare leaders who are not afraid to institute new practices and challenge the status quo where the standard of care is not working.”

One of the summit’s highlights will be the keynote address by retired US Army General David H. Petraeus, Chairman of the KKR Global Institute. General Petraeus’s insights into “Shaping the Future Through Healthcare” will illuminate the critical role healthcare plays in driving progress and shaping the course of human advancement. His notable contributions have earned him the “2023 C3 Global Valor Award,” an accolade that underscores his commitment to global healthcare diplomacy and innovation.

Through this dynamic collaboration, Music Beats Cancer and the C3 Summit aim to extend their reach beyond borders, encouraging the exchange of ideas, best practices, and innovative initiatives that contribute to global welfare and humanitarian progress.

About Music Beats Cancer

Music Beats Cancer’s mission is to increase the number of cancer-fighting technologies in the product-development pipeline so that more solutions make it to those in need. The nonprofit empowers people to support the advancement of new solutions and promising treatments for cancer. Doing so addresses the “Valley of Death,” the severe funding gap that commonly forces start-ups to abandon their work. Most of these promising start-ups will fail before they can prove their possibility, not because their ideas are bad but because they lack the critical funding to succeed. Music Beats Cancer wants to change this.
