The Petronas AAM Malaysia Cub Prix Championships 2018 was held in Tangkak, Johor from 31 March to 1 April. Monspace continues its long-standing support for the local sports scene by sponsoring teams in the championship.
Founded in 1994, the Cub Prix Championship has evolved to become the benchmark for national championship series in other Asian countries. Through the 25 years of its existence, it has become a fertile ground to nurture and uncover talents in Malaysian motorsports. Notably, the championship has successfully produced four generations of Malaysian riders, now competing in the world racing arena.
This has also successfully changed the public perception about the sport, blazing a new trail for Malaysian riders to pursue their passion and career path. The winner of Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix 2018 is Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin, who also won the championship last year. The Petronas Sprinta Yamaha Maju rider clocked an impressive 14:54.984s, while runner ups Ahmad Afif Amran and Mohd Hafiz Nor Azman follow closely behind.
Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin was also present at the Tangkak Racing Track to officiate at the launch, as an express support for the event by the Malaysian government. Monspace’s involvement in the event comes as no surprise.
The company has a record of supporting the local sports scene, through sponsoring events such as the Art of Eight (AO8) Muay Thai Competition and the 2017 Malaysia Cup.
