LOS ANGELES, CA – Jul 23, 2025 – On July 29 at 7 PM, Mikey Tableman will take the stage at The Peppermint Club in West Hollywood for Rhythmic Refuge, a live event presented by Critical Breakdown, in partnership with Creative Visions and Soul Sunday. Known for his gripping poetry, raw storytelling, and mental health advocacy, Mikey is using this performance to push forward a mission far greater than entertainment — emotional healing through art.
A survivor of addiction, mental health challenges, and suicidal ideation, Mikey Tableman turned his breakdown into a breakthrough. Today, he’s the founder of A Mind’s Pursuit, a growing platform focused on emotional literacy, expression, and mental health awareness through creative outlets. From his poetry-driven memoir My Manic Maze to his nonprofit events and children’s book series, Mikey is proving that vulnerability is not a weakness — it’s a superpower.
“I used to think chaos was something to escape. Now I know it’s where the truth lives.” That philosophy powers everything Mikey creates. His words are not just spoken — they’re felt.
Hosted at The Peppermint Club (8713 Beverly Blvd, West Hollywood), Rhythmic Refuge brings together musicians, poets, and deep thinkers for an evening of soul-centered performance. The event is free, but donations are encouraged. Admission is 21+.
