PITTSBURGH, PA – July 31, 2026 – Songwriter, producer, and MTS Records founder Michael Stover aka Michael St. Over has officially released his debut single, “Ride Sweet Angel,” along with the premiere of the song’s emotionally charged official music video. Available now through MTS Records, the release marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Stover as he steps into the spotlight as a recording artist while continuing the work that has made him one of independent music’s most recognizable advocates.

Built around themes of child abuse, addiction, survival, and redemption, “Ride Sweet Angel” tells the story of a young woman named April as she struggles to escape the physical and emotional scars of her past. Throughout the song, a train serves as a recurring symbol of the path she has traveled, carrying her from despair toward the possibility of healing and hope.

The song was written and produced by Stover, who also provides lead vocals.

“I’ve spent decades writing songs and producing records for other artists, but this was one I knew I had to sing myself,” Stover explains. “This song is dedicated to every person who has ever felt trapped by circumstances beyond their control. It’s a reminder that our experiences don’t have to define our futures and that redemption remains possible, even in the darkest moments.”

Musically, “Ride Sweet Angel” draws inspiration from classic hard rock while incorporating cinematic storytelling and emotionally driven lyrics. Released in album, radio, and radio-edit versions, the single represents the first official release under the Michael St. Over name.

The accompanying music video expands upon the song’s central themes, following April’s journey through a landscape shaped by trauma, addiction, resilience, and, ultimately, hope. Rather than relying on graphic imagery, the video uses symbolism and atmosphere to portray the painful realities faced by countless children and families while emphasizing the possibility of restoration.

In keeping with the song’s message, Stover has pledged to donate 100 percent of his proceeds from sales and streaming of “Ride Sweet Angel” to the Tim Tebow Foundation, an organization dedicated to bringing faith, hope, and love to some of the world’s most vulnerable people.

“The Tim Tebow Foundation’s mission reflects everything this song stands for,” says Stover. “The organization fights for children who cannot fight for themselves and serves people who have been overlooked, forgotten, or exploited. If this song can raise awareness, inspire compassion, and help make a difference in even one life, then it has accomplished exactly what I hoped it would.”
