The last medium to hit an important milestone is La Nueva 88.3 FM which reached top 20 radio stations of South Florida of any genre. This is particularly impressive due to the Christian them that La Nueva radio station adheres to.

According to Nielson the radio frequency WGNK of La Nueva is No. 17 in the list of most listened to radio stations among Miami’s Latino population and No. 20 overall. It reaches over 372,000 in the South Florida region as well as all across the country via its online platforms.

La Nueva is a non-commercial, listener supported radio station broadcasting a Spanish Contemporary Christian format. Licensed to Pennsuco, Florida, United States, the station serves the Miami area. The station is currently owned by Grupo Génesis.

According to Raul Forrero one of La Nueva’s leading voices, “we keep our programing positive but also very funny and informative—we see our job as a needed service for newly arrived Hispanics”.
