As most businesses are recovering post-COVID-19, and others are still shut, and others even shutting down permanently, there appears to be a diamond in the rough. A business that started during the COVID-19 pandemic has now seen a growth of over 1600% Month on Month.
“We’ve been extremely fortunate to see the shift in the market and the rise of dropshipping and online shopping – we came at the right time. We’ve seen extreme growth in suppliers and customers over the last several months, this just proves our hunch at the beginning of the pandemic was right all along,” stated Terry McGinnis, CEO of Shoppable Inc., the parent company of Dropshyp.
The company which only incorporated less than 150 days ago in San Jose, California and was started by best friends Kartik Gurmule, Terry McGinnis and Joe Todd and is now enjoying developing solutions for both small and large businesses which will help them recover more quickly thanks to a ‘no stock held’ model proposed by the company.
“We want to help businesses, especially local businesses and even independent entrepreneurs who have seen their lives change for the worse due to COVID-19. We’re offering an incredible range of solutions that we think will help increase income for all concerned,” stated Kartik Gurmule, CFO of Shoppable Inc.
The company has established key partnerships with Twilio, Jepto, and many other Silicon Valley giants helping them give more to both their customers and suppliers, one of the latest being their Shoppable Technology offering which enables suppliers to make their advertisements, images and even videos interactive.
“We wanted to do something that represents our name of Shoppable. We had our team and partners work on tools that will enable suppliers to better interact with customers, and capture the ‘it’ moments when consumers feel most confident in purchasing the product. These moments occur during vital moments of reading product announcements and recommendations on blogs or watching your favorite influencer videos on YouTube. Wouldn’t it be great if you could pause the video, hover over the part of the interest and directly purchase the product? Well, now it’s possible thanks to us and our partners,” stated Joe Todd, CMO of Shoppable Inc.
The company is driven to consolidate all of dropshipping and to provide both suppliers and customers a central hub for everything dropshipping and e-commerce.
“We’re not just a one-trick pony, we’re more than just dropshipping and whilst we can’t state much we can state that in the next coming months you will see a lot more – we’re still at the infancy stage, and we have a lot more to do and a lot more to show. We’ve just expanded our team to over 30 people who are working on some amazing things. And we’re all very excited to showcase the exciting new features, technologies, and proposals to the market we will be adding,” stated Terry McGinnis, CEO of Shoppable Inc.
The company has even made an appearance in a video game, POSTAL 4: No Regrets as an Easter egg developed by Running With Scissors. “It’s quite amazing to think that all those months ago we were sat around in the offices of Rothschild & Co., discussing and looking at where the markets are heading with our stakeholders, advisors and investors and the best pivot points, and now being featured in video games, having suppliers signing up en-masse and bringing out a ton of new functionality and technology – life truly is a journey!” stated Kartik Gurmule, CFO of Shoppable Inc.
It seems there is no stopping the trend of dropshipping and online shopping will only keep growing as we have seen by the fiscal reports from Amazon, it appears that Shoppable Inc.’s vision of consolidating dropshipping and taking a chunk of e-commerce might be more real than previously thought.
