meed, a loyalty software platform founded in 2022 and serving small and independent businesses across 85 countries, has released six product updates for May 2026. A technology partner of Google, Amazon Web Services, and Nvidia, the platform replaces paper punch cards and standalone loyalty apps with digital stamp cards stored in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, requiring no app download from customers. Most loyalty tools aimed at small businesses were designed for retail chains with IT teams; meed is built to go live in under five minutes with no hardware. The company serves more than 20 categories including cafes, restaurants, salons, gyms, and independent retailers.
The six updates included in this release are:
● Express Launch: a shorter onboarding path that takes new business owners from signup to a live loyalty card in fewer steps
● Pass image upload: owners stamp a customer’s Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass from a screenshot, without scanning a live pass
● Dashboard QR generation: owners generate a member’s QR code from the web portal to stamp or redeem remotely
● Stamp card edit protection: a toggle locks stamp slot configuration once a program goes live, protecting cards already in customer wallets
● Universal stamp count visibility: total stamp counts per member, previously Pro-only, now visible to all users on the Overview page
● Free test slot: one reserved slot for the account owner to test their own program, which does not count toward the 50-member cap
meed’s free plan supports up to 50 members with every platform feature included and no time limit. There is no trial period and no credit card required to start. The Pro plan is US$59 per month or US$590 per year, removing the member cap and including two locations; additional locations are US$39 each. Research cited by meed indicates loyalty members spend two to three times more than non-members, and a five percent improvement in customer retention can increase revenue by 25 to 95 percent.
“The loyalty category has a participation problem,” said Phil Ingram, founder of meed. “A customer who has to download an app to earn a free coffee will often just skip it. Putting the card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet removes that decision entirely. Wallet-based cards consistently see higher enrollment than app-based programs because there is nothing to install.”
Businesses using the platform report measurable changes in customer behaviour. “Since switching to meed, we have seen a huge rise in loyalty card program participation,” said a representative of Neon Tanning Studios. “Setup was quick and easy, and the cards are something customers actually use.” AMPHI Studios described onboarding as effortless and noted community building from the first customer interaction. Kongsi Kopi, a home-based micro business, uses meed to run a professional loyalty program from its first day of trading.
“We track where new owners stall during setup and design each release around cutting that time,” said Ingram. “A business owner should be handing out their first loyalty card within five minutes of creating an account.”
meed was featured at DigiTech ASEAN 2025 in Bangkok and holds a place in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park’s portfolio. The platform is used at food festivals, pop-up retail events, university open days, and multi-location franchise operations across 85 countries.
A forthcoming Pro feature will send custom push notifications directly to member lock screens and to the back of their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass. “An owner writes a message, sends it from the dashboard, and it arrives on the card in the customer’s pocket,” said Ingram. “For a small business, that is a direct channel they have not had before.”
