Mazu Swimguard Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Produce Versatile Swim Ring

Mazu Swimguard is the name of a new versatile swim pool aid ring floater: the first and only size-adjustable foam based floater, this swim ring and swim trainer comes in various sizes specifically designed for wearers 6 months to adults.

Invented by a physician and father of two young children, Mazu Swimguard is intended to help toddlers and children feel comfortable in the pool as they learn to swim.  The first and only size-adjustable foam based floater, the swim ring and trainer is developed specifically to help children and adults of all ages retain buoyancy while in the water.

The compact, light, and soft design provides a comfortable yet snug fit on all users while allowing the arms and legs freedom of movement.  With freedom of movement of both arms and legs, swimming ability is maximized.  The Mazu Swimguard is adjustable to allow a consistently perfect fit as your child grows.  With no internal air to deflate, consistent buoyancy is retained at all times.

The idea for this versatile swim ring was born out of near tragedy.  While at a pool party, the inventor of the Mazu Swimguard witnessed a child who had to be revived after drowning at the deep end of the pool.  Luckily, the child recovered completely, but the inventor was left with a realization:  even though responsible adults may be around to monitor children while swimming, accidents do happen.  He swore that this would not happen to his children.

Several years later, after becoming a father of two, the cumbersome life vests used during swim classes for his 2 and 4 year olds were uncomfortable and kept his children from having full range of motion while learning to swim.  Therefore, the initial idea for the Mazu Swimguard was born.

Looking for an adjustable swim aid that would help new swimmers and adults in water therapy, the MaZu Swimguard was designed to provide all users to feel comfortable and safe in the water.  The light and soft foam matrix allows consistent buoyancy without the worry of deflation.

The adjustable design allows the user several options for wearing the device—as a belt, up through the feet, or down through the arms.  When someone has limited mobility or range of motion due to a medical condition, the Mazu Swimguard provides the most beneficial options for placement on the body.  Several swim guards may be used at once to provide the desired buoyancy.

The Kickstarter campaign, located on the web at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1975849493/mazu-swimguards-versatile-swim-pool-aid-ring-float, offers pledge levels from $1 to $70, with rewards including your very own Mazu Swimguard in your choice of sizes:  Chara (6 months to 2 years), Amare (2 years and older), and Reiki (adults).
