Manufacturing Journalist TR Cutler Explores Corporate Citizenship and Industrial Investment in Uganda

Manufacturing journalist, TR Cutler interviewed Nahabwe Enos, the Founder and Director of Child Go Foundation during his recent visit to Uganda. Cutler learned about the country and the need for corporate citizenship and industrial investment in Uganda. Following the rigorous adventure up and down the mountain, Enos was kind enough to answer more questions. Read the full interview in Manufacturing Report here.

According to Enos, “Uganda and her population has a lot of investment opportunities ranging from social, economic, and political, however there is a need to help people work together and better address the issues ranging from climate change to environmental conservation.  Global corporate citizenship must address water shortages, food security, health, and unemployment among the community especially children, youth, and women in Uganda. This will build confidence in these communities that investments are profitable opportunities created by the people. As wages make their way into a workforce in manufacturing, distribution, intralogistics, these laborers become the consumers of their employers’ products and services. Good global corporate citizenship is a rudimentary practice in developing a next generation of customers and the right thing to do.”

The Manufacturing Report presents the latest news, events, company information and resources in the manufacturing industry.
