Man starts Gofundme campaign to teach children and women in South America

Man named Maurice (a.k.a Khy) has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Gofundme.com to cover the costs of traveling and other expenses required for him to go teach unprivileged kids in South America and other parts of the world. He seeks to raise $5000 which will be used in funding the journey he will begin in February 2018 where he will travel from Germany to Peru and then continue traveling throughout 2018 and 2019, teaching children and women in various countries.

Maurice believes that education is the most important factor to empower a person in this world. He wants to use his knowledge to provide free education to children and women across the world so that they can have a better future.  He completed his B.S. in Psychology (2016) and M.S. in Cybersecurity (2018). He also served in U.S. Army for 13 years and as a Combat veteran, he also spent a lot of time helping students and schools in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now he is on a mission to help schools and organizations in South America by teaching English, Information Technology(IT)/computers and other subjects.

Maurice will be teaching classes in English, Health/Environmental Awareness, Arts and Crafts, and IT/Computers for the children, who will also be participating in extracurricular activities such as sports, fitness etc. Children of ages 3 to 18 will be enrolled in his classes. He will also be doing projects to empower women by organizing workshops in language, English, computer sciences, nutrition, health, cooking, art and crafts, and self-love.

For teaching English, Maurice will be using methodology based on basic, intermediate and advanced conversations along with story reading and other language activities. There will be exercises with the students in their computer labs and he also plans to use the funds raised from the Gofundme campaign to purchase few computers or laptops for rural schools with no computer labs. He will also be providing health/nutritional lessons with books in English and Spanish while the other subjects will be taught based on the combined creativity of the volunteers.

Maurice’s project will help hundreds and thousands of children gain the necessary education and step towards a better future. It will also help a number of women to understand their worth, value and talent by creating a sustainable environment for them to support themselves and their families. He urges the generous individuals to donate and support to the Gofundme campaign and help him teaching kids and women in South America and other parts of the world.
