New York City, NY, USA – November 30, 2017: Renowned Ghanaian-American Singer and Songwriter, Maame has proudly announced the launch of her all new startup called Maame Music. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Maryland, the recording artist comes with a highly diverse background and she is now introducing herself into the music industry with all new song titled ‘Saving Grace’. The single will be followed by her debut EP and the artist is working hard to make an impactful debut in the highly competitive music industry of US.
“I have a single out already as I am currently preparing for my debut EP and I am working with Somethin Epic records in Washington, DC along with Daniel Blake Production in Pennsylvania to complete the album.” Said Maame, while talking about the new EP in a recent interview. “I have been developing myself as an artist professionally since 2014 and I have focused on writing and singing during my time in Nashville and Washington DC.” She added. According to the music artist, her home stages are Gypsy Sally’s Vinyl Lounge in Georgetown, DC and Bus Boys and Poets at Shirlington.
In addition, Maame recently told press in another recent interview that she is inspired by the likes of Beyoncé Knowles Carter, Usher, Michael Jackson, and Aaliyah. This recently released single was written back in 2014 and she spent the past three years in editing and perfecting it for the fans. Moreover, she has a collection of songs that is already stored up and ready for recording but she felt this one should be recorded first.
The debut single is inspired by her very first breakup and the lyrics reflect the pain that she felt when she was left heartbroken. In addition, Maame also has a degree in music, which gives her a deeper understanding of this art. She also taught herself to play piano and guitar, which she frequently uses to create her new music. Furthermore, her favorite music genre is pop and rock, while she also loves performing on stage for the fans.
