Louis Grasse and Selfmade Visionz LLC Is Distributing Free 3D Printed Medical Accessories To Help Fight Covid-19

As the novel Coronavirus pandemic continues to prevail, with the entire health care system of countries being overstretched, it is the Doctors, Nurses, and other healthcare workers at the forefront of the battle that have become national heroes. But heroism often comes at a cost: they are prone to wear masks all day long—with its inherent bruises and swellings a small price to pay.

As a panacea to this, Louis Grasse and Selfmade Visionz LLC have been selflessly creating and producing facemasks, facemask comfort clips and more for these healthcare workers who often have to work outrageous hours while under stress and with a lack of proper PPE.

Louis has been generously designing and delivering 3d printed products for the past two weeks to hospitals across the United States. Armed with several 3d printers and a background in 3d CAD design, he has set out to donate over 1,000 products each week to hospitals and medical frontline workers in need.

Selfmade Visionz LLC is an aerial, commercial and professional sports photography company operating out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Operations for this company also exist in North Florida and San Diego, California. Louis Grasse and his team set out to create a flexible and comfortable facemask clip that would help the healthcare workers in wearing these over their nose and ears for extended periods.

The first rendition of the aptly-named “Covid_Clip” was a customized version of a shared file he had seen for welding masks. After a day or two of tweaking his designs and test-printing several options, version one of the Covd_Clip was locked in and printers were armed and ready to run day and night. In just the first week alone SMV sent out over 1,000 units to 15 different healthcare vendors. Grasse would later modify the Covid-clip for more fluidity and comfort.

Louis is also calling on others to partner with him on this noble cause, “If you are interested in donating towards shipping and material costs, we have created a fundraiser that will help with that. None of our products are for sale and none of our products have any costs passed along to the medical professionals that they support.
