Lee Chambers, the British psychologist and businessman, took the stage at this year’s One Young World, which was hosted in the Northern Irish capital city of Belfast. He shared with the audience how important it was that we embrace neurodiversity and how it can be a driver for positive change in the world.
The summit saw over two thousand young leaders from more than 190 countries have discussions over three days on the biggest issues affecting humanity. Delegates listened to speakers, including the Queen of Jordan, Sir Bob Geldof, Rio Ferdinand and Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe.
Topics explored at the SSC and ICC in Belfast included five core plenary challenges: Food Crisis, Education, Climate Emergency, Mental Health, and Peace and Reconciliation.
On speaking at One Young World, Chambers said, “It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to engage young leaders from all over the globe on a topic that is close to my heart. In many nations, the conversation about neurodiversity is still in its infancy, yet when it is embraced and adaptations made, everyone benefits. To be able to share a global stage with luminaries from a variety of fields is a day I won’t forget in a hurry, and I’m excited to take to even bigger stages in 2024.”
One Young World will be in Montreal in 2024, while Chambers will continue to take the stage as he prepares for the release of his new book, Momentum, in September.
