About Lady Katrina
One summer night during an Annual Gospel group’s anniversary, this 4-year-old bright-eyed little girl boldly walked up to the front of the church and stood by her grandfather, awaiting her chance to “let her little light shine”.
He looked down at her with a smile on his face and said, “I’m going to let my grandbaby sing”. As he handed her the microphone, she stared at the musician. After several seconds, her mom said, “She’s not going to sing until you start playing”.
As the musicians started playing, this small little girl let out an anointed melodic sound that changed the spiritual heart of man. Years later, hearts are still experiencing the “Shundo” effect of the anointed sounds of Katrina L.S. Henderson.
A native of the North Caddo region of the Southern State, Louisiana, she was born the only child of Christine Henderson and Eddie Lee Williams in Mooringsport, Louisiana. She joined Baptist Temple Church at an early age.
She began her musical gift at the age of 6 years old at Mt. Corinth COGIC under the leadership of Elder T.J. Nation. Evangelist Henderson traveled with North Caddo Community Choir singing from Mississippi to Texas; opening for national recording artist such as, Bright Star Male Chorus and many others.
She served as the Baptist Temple Baptist Church Minister of Music and Dance/ Drill team leader for numerous years.
Katrina found and organized the young ministry, RiU (Relatives in Unity) of Shreveport, Louisiana.
She served as a background singer for national recording artist Elder Joseph Lindsey.
She also shared the stage with Legendary Dorothy Norwood, Earnest Pugh, Kim Burrell, Dorinda Clark- Cole, Karen Clark-Sheard, and many others.
Lady Katrina is known by her musical gifts such as a musician, singer, songwriter, director, and evangelist.
Katrina is not just a choir and praise team member of many churches in the Caddo Parish area and International Minister of Music of the New Heart Global Ministry, St. Louis, Missouri, but she also travels across the nation to touch the lives of those who receives her southern charm. Lady Katrina has “A Voice with A Message”. She meets no stranger and to know her is to love her.
Lady Katrina is excited about the new message God has given her through songs that will be release late summer 2017.
Songs entitled, “No Limit”, “Shelter”, and Look to You”, are just some of the testimonies that God has expound on her heart to share with the world.
