This release is a testament to Kyakuwa ’s versatility as a musician and his innate talent. The song will be available on all digital streaming platforms on December 11th.
In bad times the way forward is reinvention. The Entertainment sector is down; no stage lights, no live audience, no theatre, you can almost hear the sound of silence. To avoid becoming a fugitive to the pandemic, Isaac Bullock Kintu went back to the drafting table, summoned his Ugandan roots, found like minds in Marlice Baart (co-writer) & DJ NLZ (producer) and Kyakuwa Music surfaced. Because when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Kyakuwa is another name his mother gave him which means “a gift from God”.
He perform for a king when he was 6, tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass (the stage) and became an addict to the stage ever since. Sharing the stage with different artists inspires him. It pushes him to learn different styles of music while inspiring others. In fact, before the Corona Crisis, he led different live formations in the Netherlands and abroad, collaborating with more than 800 musicians. His clients count on him and his formations to close Festivals, perform on business congresses, radio, and TV stations. They play around 50 shows a year.
With #kyakuwamusic, they hope to inspire colleagues in the entertainment industry to embrace and leverage the open online platform. Most of all, they would like to inspire music lovers and people at large to search for the silver lining and hold on tight while reinventing themselves.
