Kwame Kayda entered the rap scene only a few years back and is here to stay. Growing up, he fell in love with Hip Hop and Rap music, listening to the likes of 50 Cent, Eminem and the Jacka.
In the past few years, he has delivered some memorable singles like “Death and Drama”, “Mexico”, “Back At It”, “Got You” and his recently released “Kick One”. Taking his craft up a notch, he released a music video of “Kick One”, a few days back on YouTube and the song has over 32k streams on Soundcloud so far. His remarkable vocal delivery, hard-hitting lyrics, and a high-quality production video make this song a delight to watch. His debut album “Kall Me Kwame Kayda” dropped on January 31st, 2020.
Talking about his music, Kwame states, “My music is often inspired by the struggles of people in the hood, those living on the streets and the people of color, who are looked down upon by others. With my music, I want to tell them that I have been through the same and that things always get better. So if you’re stuck in a difficult situation right now, just keep going, keep hoping and with time, it will pass. I want to keep my music real and relatable.”
Known for his unapologetic persona and music, Kwame has proved his talent time and again. He believes in hard work and determination which keeps him inspired in the highly competitive music industry. He is an independent artist and done many shows, opened up for many popular artists and talent shows such as Sauce Walka, Remedy, Salsalino, Showbanga and Oakland’s Got Talent among others.
