Kickstarter Campaign for New Book that Captivates “Children Who Don’t Usually Listen”

From the award-winning artist Korky Paul, who illustrates the best-selling ‘Winnie the Witch’ books, this inspiring book is titled ‘Roald Off The Tongue’

Roald Off The Tongue is an all-new illustrated children’s book written by UK-based author and performer Chip Colquhoun, and illustrated by award-winning children’s artist Korky Paul. With the goal of inspiring today’s children to love reading, the book collects fables and fairy tales enjoyed by the best-selling children’s author Roald Dahl when he was a child. To introduce this children’s book to the world, the author recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter where the public can preview its success.

“The early draft has already been 100% enjoyed by every one of the 60-or-so children it has reached, including some as young as 4 and others as old as 11,” said Chip. “And since it’s already inspired reluctant readers to read and struggling writers to write, I’m sure you can see why I’m desperate to get this book into bookshops!”

“The book is great for engaging children,” said Sarah King, a teacher of children aged 10 and 11. “Even the children who don’t usually listen, they were just totally involved in it.”

Due to the overwhelming response of the backing community, the campaign has already exceeded its original goal, while more people continue to add their support.

Backers from all around the world can pre-order a signed copy of the book with a “pledge”, and receive early access to drafts from Chip and Korky. A wide range of rewards are also available, including school visits from the author and online art classes from the illustrator.
