Gaining access to current infrastructure and configuration management has proven problematic as enterprises prioritize Kubernetes, especially when using different clouds or running multiple Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) in the same cloud environment. Enterprises are also having problems implementing repeatable processes for continuously maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure and modern apps. Developers can use the open source Zero-Trust Access and GitOps services to address the multi-tenant access and automation issues that these services were built to address. Furthermore, developers and project contributors may work together to improve on-premises, hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge use cases.
“As a member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), we are thrilled to further our relationships to the open source community,” said Hydra Technologies CTO Vintio Rusuf. “We are contributing to the community’s goal of pervasive cloud-native computing by open sourcing our Zero-Trust Access and GitOps services. We look forward to the community embracing these projects and welcome developers and DevOps specialists interested in cooperating with the existing cadre of contributors focused on corporate Kubernetes adoption.”
Service of Zero-Trust Access
Security has been a recurring topic with Kubernetes. Many big businesses will suffer security vulnerabilities in 2020 as a result of their Kubernetes infrastructure. Hydra’s Zero-Trust Access service provides regulated, audited access to Kubernetes infrastructure for developers, SREs, and automation systems, with just-in-time service account creation and user-level credential management. It integrates seamlessly with an enterprise’s existing RBAC/SSO solution.
By enabling remote access to Kubernetes infrastructure, Hydra’s Zero-Trust Access solution enables:
1. Controls access to whole fleets of Kubernetes clusters from a centralized location, independent of the person or system requesting access.
2. With integrated corporate RBAC/SSO, secures kubectl access to all clusters.
3. Assures that internal security rules and industry standards are followed
4. Maintains permanent audit trails for all user and system access
Service for GitOps
GitOps is a time- and cost-effective method to continuous deployment (CD) that makes use of Git as the single source of truth for both infrastructure and apps. Because it is declarative, it facilitates standardization, increases security, and, ultimately, increases productivity.
Enterprises may use Hydra’s GitOps Service to:
1. Create multi-stage pipelines for both apps and clusters programmatically
2. Automate deployments completely and eliminate error-prone manual procedures
3. Ascertain that the status provided in your Git repositories is immediately enforced on Kubernetes clusters.
4. Implement simple-to-use controls that enable developers and operations teams to cooperate on the development of contemporary apps while maintaining enterprise-level governance.
“Modern infrastructure requires innovative solutions to technological problems. Managing Kubernetes at scale is getting more difficult and onerous, but also comes with significant risk” states Choudhary Patel, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Hydra Technologies. “We’re always on the lookout for innovative methods to automate infrastructure and application deployments while maintaining a focus on security and access control. We look forward to sharing new technological capabilities with developers and to seeing how far these services can be extended in collaboration with the cloud-native community.”
Hydra Technologies is a proud member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and a Kubernetes Certified Service Provider.
About Hydra Technologies
Hydra Technologies has created the industry’s first Kubernetes Operations Platform to help businesses maximize the value of containerized apps, which drive today’s business innovation. Hydra enables platform teams to operate modern application infrastructure across public clouds, data centers, and the Edge. The process of deploying applications across multiple environments is streamlined, and a unified platform enables enterprise-grade control and governance over application deployment procedures. In the rapidly aging Kubernetes Management sector, this game-changing method instills a much-needed fresh operational mentality. With the Hydra Kubernetes Operations Platform, platform teams gain unified visibility, control, and automation across previously fragmented processes and systems, resulting in better delivery of modern apps. Verizon, SonicWall, and Appzen are among Hydra’s growing clientele.
