What is Quick Hitch Coupler?
A quick hitch coupler, also known as a quick attach coupler,is an accessory that allows you to quickly change excavator attachments.
HMB quick coupler has two types: manual quick coupler and hydraulic quick coupler.
The operation steps are as follows:
1、Rise up the excavator arm and slowly grab the bucket pin with fixed tiger mouth of quick coupler. Switch status closed.
2、Open the switch when the fixed tiger mouth grabs the pin tightly (Buzzer alarming). Quick coupler cylinder withdraws back and at this time, lower the quick coupler movable tiger mouth to the bottom.
3、Close the switch (the buzzer stopping alarming) , the movable tiger mouth stretching out to grab the other bucket pin.
4、When it completely tops the pin, plug the safety pin.

Why The Seal Kits Must Be Replaced Every 500h?
In hydraulic breaker hammer normal use, the seal kits must be replaced every 500H! However, many customers do not understand why they should do this. They think that as long as the hydraulic breaker hammer has no hydraulic oil leaking, there is no need to replace the seal kits. Even if the service staff communicated with customers about this many times, the customers still think that 500H cycle is too short. Is this cost necessary?

The red part: The blue “Y”-shaped ring kit is a main oil seal, please note the seal lip part direction should face toward the high-pressure oil direction (refer to the cylinder main oil seal installation method)

The reason of replacement:
1. There are two seals in the piston ring of the breaker (blue rings part), whose most effective part is the ring lip part which is just 1.5mm high, they can seal off the hydraulic oil mainly.
2. This 1.5mm height part can hold on for about 500-800 hours when the hydraulic breaker hammer piston is under normal working situation (the hammer piston movement frequency is quite high, taking HMB1750 with 175mm diameter chisel breaker for an example, the piston movement frequency is about 4.1-5.8 times per second), The high-frequency movement wears the oil seal lip part very much. Once this part is flattened, chisel rod “oil leaking” phenomenon will come out, and the piston also will lose its elastic support, under such situation,slightly tilting will scratch the piston (The wearing of the bushing sets will exacerbate the possibility of piston tilting). 80% of the hydraulic breaker hammer main body issues are caused by this.
Issue Example: Figure 3, Figure 4, Figure 5 are the pictures of a piston cylinder scratch issue example caused by non-replacement timely. Because oil seal replacement is not in time, and the hydraulic oil is not clean enough, it will cause a major failure of the “cylinder scratch” if continue to use.
Therefore, it is necessary to replace the oil seal as soon as possible after the hydraulic breaker works for 500H, so as to avoid greater losses.
