Austin, Texas – The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Shaun P. McKenzie, MD, Surgical Oncologist, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. McKenzie currently serves patients at Surgical Associates of Austin in Austin, TX and is also affiliated with Saint David’s Medical Center, Saint David’s North, South Austin Medical Center, and Seton Medical Center. He has two years of experience specializing in hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and complex gastrointestinal surgery. He also teaches as an Assistant Professor of Surgical Oncology at University of Kentucky.
Educated at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Dr. McKenzie completed an internship at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, followed by fellowships at City of Hope National Medical Center and University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a professional member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
Dr. McKenzie attributes his success to a strong work ethic and the ability to communicate well with patients and professionals alike. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, and canoeing.
