Hazmat Line Partners with NRCC to Deliver Full Emergency Response Coverage for Shipments to and from Mainland China
Hazmat Line’s partnership with NRCC now makes global coverage complete
Hazmat Line, a 24/7 hazmat emergency response provider, announces a formal partnership with NRCC, China’s government-affiliated chemical safety authority, closing a critical compliance gap for global shippers. Effective Q4 2025, clients receive full emergency response coverage for shipments to and from mainland China, with calls answered in Mandarin by NRCC specialists and Hazmat Line maintaining consistent global support and reporting.

Hazmat Line, a specialist provider of 24/7 hazmat emergency response information services, has announced a formal partnership with the National Registration Center for Chemicals (NRCC), China’s government-affiliated chemical safety authority. Effective Q4 2025, the partnership enables Hazmat Line clients to maintain full, compliant emergency response coverage for hazardous materials shipments to and from mainland China — under a single contract.

For global shippers, China has long represented one of the most complex compliance challenges in hazardous materials logistics. Mainland China requires that chemical incidents be handled locally, with calls answered in Mandarin and documented by a recognized Chinese authority. Until now, many international companies lacked a seamless way to meet this requirement while maintaining the same standard of emergency response they relied on elsewhere in the world. This partnership directly addresses that gap.

Established in 1997, NRCC is a government-affiliated technical organization and a central pillar of China’s chemical safety infrastructure. It supports chemical incident management through emergency response, hazardous chemical registration, hazard identification and classification, and safety monitoring and technical consulting. As an official NRCC partner, Hazmat Line is now able to offer compliant NRCC emergency phone response coverage for mainland China operations as part of its existing international service offering.

When an incident occurs in mainland China, NRCC answers the call in Mandarin and handles documentation in accordance with Chinese regulatory requirements. Simultaneously, the Hazmat Line team is notified and, where the severity of the incident warrants client involvement, reaches out immediately. Clients receive the same level of support and incident reporting they would expect from any other Hazmat Line-covered shipment, anywhere in the world.

“This partnership marks an important moment for Hazmat Line,” said Daniel Chebat, Director of Hazmat Line. “We can now fully support our global customers shipping to or from China. When an incident happens in mainland China, NRCC answers the call — but our team is immediately in the loop, and clients receive the same quality of support and reporting they would expect anywhere else in the world.”
