Hazmat Line, a specialist provider of 24-hour hazmat emergency response information services, has announced its full domestic launch in Brazil alongside a formal partnership with CEATOX – Hospital das Clínicas de São Paulo, one of Brazil’s most respected toxicology centers. The expansion positions Hazmat Line as a comprehensive solution for companies navigating Brazil’s updated hazmat and post-market surveillance regulatory landscape.
The timing is significant. Following the update to ABNT 14725 under NR 26 of Brazil’s Ministry of Labor, companies operating in Brazil are now required to provide a 24-hour emergency response channel for hazmat incidents — a requirement that has been fully in effect since July 2025. Many companies are only now scrambling to find compliant, reliable solutions. Hazmat Line’s domestic Brazil operations, launched in Q4 2025, were built precisely to meet this need, offering local callers real-time support during hazmat emergencies around the clock.
Beyond transport and workplace safety, Hazmat Line’s Brazil expansion also addresses a parallel regulatory obligation. Companies selling consumer products regulated by ANVISA — Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency — including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and pesticides, are required to operate post-market surveillance programs. This includes maintaining a 24-hour channel to receive, document, and report cases of adverse effects or accidental toxic exposures. Through its partnership with CEATOX – Hospital das Clínicas de São Paulo, Hazmat Line is now able to offer this service directly to its clients.
Founded in 1991, CEATOX – Hospital das Clínicas de São Paulo is a renowned toxicology center dedicated to providing urgent information on poisoning and toxic exposures. Its multidisciplinary team of physicians, pharmacists, psychologists, and health sciences specialists has been a trusted public resource in poison control for over three decades. Under the formal partnership agreement, CEATOX will fulfill post-market surveillance services on behalf of Hazmat Line’s clients in Brazil.
“In Brazil, the emergency number resource is still not as widely known or used as in other countries,” said Daniel Chebat, Director of Hazmat Line. “But we want to bring awareness of how critical it is to get real-time support quickly when you are facing a hazmat incident.”
“This partnership with CEATOX – Hospital das Clínicas de São Paulo is an important milestone for Hazmat Line,” added Daniel Chebat. “It means we can now also support our clients with post-market surveillance services, offering a truly comprehensive compliance solution in Brazil.”
