Al Ain, UAE – Another cycle of International Awards issued by Harvard Business Council (NY, USA) ended on November 10, 2022. The event recorded one of the most significant numbers of applications received so far, and we expect this data to continue to grow. In fact, 5,000 applications were received, and 531 were considered sufficiently exhaustive to compete in this cycle. However, in the end, only 60 of them took the victory. Among them Al Ain City Municipality – one of the three municipalities of the Department of Municipalities and Transport that provides municipal services in Al Ain city through coordination with the relevant authorities regarding numerous salient matters.
The organization has been nominated for the Innovation Award, the Customer Care Award, and the Dealing with Covid-19 Award.
Al Ain City Municipality was honored with the Gold level for the first category, as they demonstrated that innovation is embedded in their corporate culture thanks to initiatives such as the Innovation S.W.O.T, innovation KPIs to support the institutional strategic priority and the Innovation Value, the Creativity & Innovation Management System (Ebdaa), which helps to generate new ideas and it is accessible to employees and customers, among others.
Moving on to the second category, the organization reached Gold status thanks to its distinguished and intelligent services to ensure high customer satisfaction. It has ten customer service centers to guarantee availability when needed and many tools to measure the customer’s satisfaction after each service, such as a link with a mini survey to evaluate the service received.
Finally, the Diamond level was achieved for the third category, as they promptly reacted to the sudden disruptions by implementing strategies like remote work, cancellation of attendance by fingerprint and activation of the electronic card for all employees, adjustment of elevators with a touchless sensor option, activation of cloud services system for all employees, increase of the sterilization procedures in the municipal building and vehicles, activation of the Top management WhatsApp Group Program for follow-up and guidance, and many others.
Harvard Business Council rewards those who demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation, and excellence. Undoubtedly, Al Ain City Municipality fits into this description.
