SAN FRANCISCO, California – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has been touring the U.S. since April 28th promoting peace, hope, and healing through mediation and dialogue.
In the wake of recent gun violence across the United States, the world-renowned spiritual teacher is encouraging individuals to stand up and be a beacon of peace in their communities. His U.S. tour has garnered attention from thousands of people both online and in attendance at his rallies. To date, more than one million global allies have pledged support for the #IStandForPeace movement.
“Our intention is the basis of all action and if we put our attention and the collective intention towards standing for peace, then peace will prevail,” said Gurudev. “The very intention of standing up for peace helps direct one’s energy towards actions that will bring peace.”
Gurudev has dedicated his life to bringing peace to individuals, communities, societies, and nations. His inspiration has led to the growth of one of the largest volunteer-based organizations globally, The Art of Living Foundation. Gurudev’s next U.S. tour stop on his 16 city US tour is June 9 in San Francisco, followed by Los Angeles, Seattle and Chicago and Raleigh.
