Governor Hogan to Address Chesapeake Gateway Chamber’s Annual Dinner & Awards Ceremony

The Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce hosts their 70th Anniversary Dinner and Awards Ceremony at Martin’s East with Governor Larry Hogan as keynote speaker.

The Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce kicks off its 70th Anniversary at Martin’s East on January 24, 2018, at 6 PM with its Annual Dinner featuring their special keynote speaker, Governor Larry Hogan.  The evening will include an awards ceremony to honor local businesses, organizations and individuals who are setting the standards for excellence and innovation with their business practices and community involvement. The inauguration of the 2018 Chamber officers and board also will take place that night.

“We are excited to have the Governor joining us for the second year in a row,” says Chamber Executive Director Sharon Kihn. “We are pleased to honor the businesses and organizations that helped our community and the Chamber to grow, whether it’s new development like Greenleigh and Tradepoint Atlantic, or the revitalization of downtown Essex.”

The evening also will feature the inauguration of the new Board of Directors and new Chamber officers including Jaime Alvarez of CCBC—Essex Campus as incoming President; John Hess of Eastpoint Mall as Vice President; Chelsea Wilhelm of The Arbors at Baltimore Crossroads as Treasurer; and John Gontrum of Whiteford, Taylor and Preston LLP as Immediate Past President.

Award recognition will include the Cornerstone Award to Earl Oxley and The AIMS Group Inc., the Rising Star Award to Zesto Pizza & Grill, the Customer Service Award to Baltimore Technology Group, LLC., the Community Service Award to Essex Middle River Civic Council, the Revitalization Award to Weaver’s Marine Service, and the Economic Impact Award to St. John Properties, Inc.
