The International Cooperation and Development Forum on Marine Economy 2020 is now positioned as a landmark event in China and at the international level to discuss the future of different sectors of the marine economy and its growing importance for China’s economic growth as well as the world’s economy, and the way to leverage new technologies to make it more sustainable and more efficient.
Building on the great success and international impact of the first edition of the International Cooperation and Development Forum in 2019, this second edition will focus on assessing the changes and opportunities for the development of the marine economy in the post-COVID context. It will also explore the latest technology developments to optimize the potential of the Blue Economy and will discuss the necessary initiatives to create a more efficient global ocean governance.
The forum will bring together – physically and digitally – senior government officials and top business executives from marine-related Chinese and international corporations, along with well renowned thought leaders and academic experts, and senior officials from marine-related international organizations.
All sessions will be highly interactive, allowing participants not only to gain new knowledge and insights which will benefit their business activities but also to raise all questions relevant to them and to create new business contacts.
The combination and complementarity of the China Marine Economy Expo, the different professional forums held in the expo premises, and the International Cooperation and Development Forum on the Marine Economy will offer optimum value for participants, with direct benefits for their business activities.
