September 2018, Blackline partnered with ION Science to change volatile organic compound (VOC) detector landscape.
Blackline Safety Corp. signed a supply and revenue-sharing agreement with Ion Science, manufacturer of volatile organic compound (VOC) sensors to offer an affordable photoionization detector (PID) to market. Blackline’s G7 gas detector comprises a plug and play cartridge interface enabling integration of a PID sensor in any G7 device thereby limiting maintenance. The cartridge can be easily replaced hence, eliminating downtime required for servicing.
September 2018, Ceramtec introduced new range of ultrasonic sensors for gas flow measurement.
The new ultrasonic flow sensors are optimised to achieve the specifications that meet the European as well as US and Canadian standards. These 400kHz ultrasonic gas transducers are capable of minimizing measurement errors by stabilising the output across varying temperatures. The sensors are successful in exhibiting less than 1ns zero flow drift in tested gas metering environments.
July 2018, Battery Ventures has acquired Dynament and Status Scientific Controls (SSCL), two global manufacturers of infrared gas detection sensors and instruments.
The acquisition of Dynament and Status Scientific Controls (SSCL) will now work under Process Sensing Technologies (PST) group. Dynament is a provider of miniature, infrared gas sensors to large original-equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across the global gas-detection and monitoring industry. Whereas, Status Scientific Controls manufactures fixed-gas detection instruments, both flame-proof and intrinsically safe, along with a comprehensive range of associated control panels.
