Gallaher Plastic Surgery & Spa MD Partners with Childhelp Tennessee for Oysterfest 2018

Gallaher Plastic Surgery is lead by Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Tom Gallaher. With 4 locations across eastern Tennessee, they deliver results in plastic surgery in a variety of procedures. Giving back to the community is a top-priority, and the Gallaher Plastic Surgery Team is proud to support local charities.

Gallaher Plastic Surgery & Spa MD sponsored the 23rd annual Oysterfest event. The benefit is considered the party to kick of the summer for business leaders, elected officials, young professionals, and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Patrons enjoy live music, BBQ, seafood, and of course, plenty of fresh oysters, all while helping a good cause.

With nearly 600 attendees, Childhelp Tennessee was able to raise a substantial sum for the children of Knoxville, TN and beyond. The event was held at Concord Marina, one of East Tennessee’s Premier Marinas from 6-9pm. Live music was performed by The Chillbillies throughout the warm summer evening. Heartfelt speeches were made about the often-hidden epidemic in our country of child abuse and neglect.

Every day in the U.S., we lose between 4 and 7 children to child abuse and neglect. The first step to waging war against this widespread problem is understanding the issue.

Childhelp Tennessee, founded in 1994, serves over 1,400 children at their Knoxville center each year. Their goal is to ensure the best possible placement outcomes in the state for foster family agencies. Childhelp Tennessee understands that these kids have been through enough and aims to provide support and sustainability to their currently unstable lives.
