Playboii Nard also known as “Nardslyfe” music is a 29-year-old rapper from Atlanta who recently released his new single “Going in Lately” on Spotify.com. Born Kennon Redding, Playboii Nard’s journey to becoming a popular rapper in the industry wasn’t as easy as it seems. Although he knew that he would become a star one day, since the first time he hit the stage at the tender age of six, he had to struggle a lot to make ends meet in his early 20’s.
In this exclusive interview, he talks more about his journey of becoming a rapper and his plans for the near future.
Interviewer: Give us a brief of your background and early life.
Playboii Nard: I was Born In Atlanta Ga at Georgia Baptist Hospital I grew up you know I went threw the struggle of single mother-father in jail grandma and my great grandfather being my guiding lights in life but I also saw my mother work hard to give us everything that she gave us and I respect her a lot for that. Even tho it got crazy at times and I started participating in ways of life that my father dwelled in I tried to keep myself out of that light as much as possible but I always had one foot in and one out doing what was necessary to survive but never glorified it.
Interviewer: What inspired you to become a rapper?
Playboii Nard: honestly there was a guy that made a diss track about me in high school that was once my friend and I decided to make one back and I haven’t turned back. Ever since then I have just been perfecting my craft and learning and trying to perfect my craft.
Interviewer: Who are your favorite rappers in the industry?
Playboii Nard: Drake, T.I, Young Jeezy, Justin Bieber, James Arthur, Killer Mike, Outkast, Run the jewels, Nas.
Interviewer: Tell us about the shows you have done so far.
Playboii Nard: Well I have done shows in the south East region of course in Georgia but also Texas Alabama South Carolina Tennessee and Missouri.
Interviewer: Tell us about your latest single “Going in Lately”?
Playboii Nard: It’s the latest one that I dropped it’s one of the those I’m going for what I want in life and not letting anybody stop my tracks. I made it to inspire the people who need a little motivation from time to time. Sometimes its needed.
Interviewer: Where do you aspire to be in the music industry?
Playboii Nard: I aspire to be this generation’s Jay Z.

Playboii Nard: just dropping singles and working on a EP right now Just be ready.
