From 53°C to 18°C: Ganlion Upgrades Workshop Cooling System to Improve Working Conditions and Energy Efficiency
As summer arrives, maintaining a comfortable and efficient production environment becomes a challenge for many textile manufacturers.
In traditional dyeing and finishing facilities, high temperatures caused by large production spaces and heat-generating equipment can significantly affect daily operations. During previous summers, workshop temperatures at Ganlion could reach 53°C when outdoor temperatures were around 38°C.
To improve the working environment, Ganlion previously invested RMB 1.307 million in cooling equipment and related facilities. However, due to the large workshop area and concentrated heat sources, achieving effective temperature control across the entire production space remained challenging.
This year, Ganlion invested RMB 3.05 million to implement an intelligent cooling system, reducing outlet air temperatures to as low as 18°C while improving energy efficiency. The new system is expected to generate annual energy savings of more than RMB 1.6 million.
This upgrade is more than an equipment improvement. It reflects Ganlion’s continuous efforts to create a better manufacturing environment while advancing energy-efficient and sustainable production.

❄️A Cooler Workshop, A Better Working Environment
After the intelligent cooling system was put into operation, the temperature difference between the cooling outlets and the surrounding environment can reach approximately 18°C, significantly improving comfort in the workshop.
For employees working on the production floor, the change is noticeable.
“Before, during summer, my clothes would often become completely wet after working at my station. Now the workshop feels much more comfortable, and sweating is greatly reduced.” — Ganlion Production Team Member
Improving employee working conditions is an important part of Ganlion’s approach to responsible manufacturing.
⏱️Completed Within 90 Days Without Interrupting Production
The project started on March 21 with construction work and was officially put into operation on June 19.
Completing the upgrade within 90 days required careful coordination, as installation and improvements had to be carried out while maintaining normal production operations.
During the process, the project team completed multiple upgrades, including:
- Cooling water pipeline optimization
- Hot water pump improvements
- VOC resin machine modifications
- System integration and equipment upgrades
Through close collaboration between different teams, the project was completed before the peak summer season.
