Four reasons for the deformation of CNC machined parts

The reasons for the deformation of CNC machined parts, the causes of deformation and cracking are many. It is different from metal stamping. Such as materials, heat treatment, structural design, process arrangement, workpiece clamping and cutting line selection during wire cutting, etc. The main factors causing deformation and cracks are related to the structure of the parts.

(1) The concave and convex molds with narrow and long shapes are easily deformed, and the amount of deformation is related to the complexity of the shape, the aspect ratio, and the width ratio of the cavity to the frame. The more complex the shape, the greater the aspect ratio and the width ratio of the cavity to the frame, the greater the amount of mold deformation. The law of deformation is deflated in the middle of the cavity, the punch is usually warped.

(2) All quenched cavities with complex shapes and clear corners are prone to cracks at sharp corners, and even bursting. The frequency of its occurrence is related to the composition of the material, heat treatment process, etc.

(3) Cylindrical parts with thicker wall thickness are easily deformed if they are cut on the inner wall, and generally change from circular to elliptical. If you cut it, it will easily burst when it is about to cut through.

(4) The deeper notch cut from the outside of the part is prone to deformation. The law of deformation is adduction of the mouth. The amount of deformation is related to the depth of the notch and the material properties.

But all the accidents are under our control, because we have more than 10 years of experience in CNC Machining, CNC Milling, CNC Turning and Metal Stamping Service.
