The Perkins Family, a deserving foster family, in working with Tampa-based charity, Man Up Tampa Bay, are the proud recipients of a new metal roof for their family home replacing a leaking shingle roof.
Brendale and David Perkins, adoptive foster parents, have taken many children into their home over the years and shown them what love, family and faith are all about. Numerous children, many with traumatic pasts, have found refuge in the Perkins’ home. The giving of time and resources by Brendale and David Perkins hasn’t stopped with the topic of fostering. Thirteen of the foster children share the Perkins last name and have now been adopted and all reside in the family home.
The Perkins Family had an issue that local businesses stepped up to solve.
When Brendale and David reached out to Man Up Tampa Bay, it was easy for chairman, Jeff Ford, to identify the Perkins family as a true family in need and deserving of the charity’s coordinated efforts. Jeff soon approached Total Home Roofing, and they gave no hesitation in offering labor and installation assistance for the project. Total Home Roofing reached out to metal roofing manufacturer, Tri County Metals, and business development professional, Michael Smith, offered to supply the metal roofing panels and accessories needed for Total Home to complete the installation.
On August 12, 2020 from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm, camera-ready representatives from Man Up Tampa Bay, Total Home Roofing, and Tri County Metals will be on site to observe the installation of metal roofing panels on the Perkins Family Home located at 14935 Sherrod Croft Lane, Dade City, FL.
Please join us in telling the good news of this charitable event as three businesses reach out into the greater Tampa Bay community to help assist this deserving foster family.
