Famolare, the women’s fashion brand born in 1969, is hitting the streets again at Nordstrom and other retailers across the country in honor of Women’s History Month 2018

Famolare invented the term “purposeful fashion” with the launch of what was the first rubber soled wedge, and was granted patent #3,984,925 in 1976. Famolare went on to create and patent its legendary wavy sole which became an iconic fashion staple revered in the 70’s by strong minded independent women who marched for peace, civil rights, the environment, and causes that empowered women.

Not much has changed. Those women who marched in Famolares during that time of unrest in the 70’s, are today just as vibrant and committed to making the world a better place, and they’ve likely raised strong daughters who have followed in their footsteps. Together, these powerful empowered women are certain to make waves.

Famolare has a dedicated group of hard working women led by fashion industry veteran, Victoria Staten, who are very focused on creating a business model paradigm shift. Using the original vintage shoe moulds from the 70’s, and locally sourced components, the shoes are produced in Los Angeles, California.
