Poggiosole is an olive farm and vacation rental owned and operated by an Italian-American family in rural, Central Tuscany, about a half-hour’s drive south of Florence, Italy. Owner Alex Subrizi and his partner Giovanna use the income from Poggiosole’s two vacation rentals to (partly) fund the olive farm. Their crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter aims to raise funds to support and revitalize Poggiosole’s olive groves by helping to pay for skilled labor and a tractor.

“We’re exchanging our delicious EVOO for funds to hire expert tree pruners and buy a compact tractor.” said Alex Subrizi, introducing this project to the Kickstarter community. “Our work so far has given us prettier groves and steadily increasing harvests of organically-grown Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino and Moraiolo olives,” Alex added.

As a top tier campaign reward, Alex and Giovanna will welcome a group of up to six people to stay in Poggiosole’s beautiful farmhouse and participate in next October’s olive harvest. The campaign also offers rewards of Poggiosole’s extra virgin olive oil shipped worldwide.
