She is a highly-trained and qualified pediatrician with vast expertise inall facets of her work. Dr. Flowers has been practicing for more than 43 years and is currently serving as a pediatrician at South Dekalb Pediatrics in Decatur, Georgia. She is also affiliated with Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, and serves as a medical director for the State of Georgia.
Dr. Flowers gained her Doctor of Medicine Degree at Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in Nashville, graduating in 1973. Following this, she completed a residency at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and undertook further training at Emory University. Since graduating, Dr. Flowers has founded the Metro Alliance of Minority Physicians, and she also serves as a resident pediatrician for Fox 5 Atlanta’s ‘Good Day Atlanta’ television show.
Dr. Flowers is a professional member of the American Medical Association, the Atlanta Medical Association, the Greater Atlanta Pediatric Association, and the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatricians. She is additionally listed in Who’s Who in America, and is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority.
