Dr. Sharif is a highly trained and qualified nephrologist with a vast expertise inall facets of his work. Dr. Sharif has been in practice for over 20 years and is currently serving patients at his private practicein Los Angeles, California. He specializes in the care of kidney diseases, kidney transplant, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, the care of hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. Furthermore, Dr. Sharif is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA School of Medicine and a teaching member of Nephrology Fellowship Program at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Sharif is a 1988 graduate from the Universite Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. He pursued his internal medicine residency at Mount Carmel hospital, and further completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Michigan. In addition, Dr. Sharif is an affiliate of the Mount Carmel Hospital which is an affiliate of Ohio State University. Dr. Sharif held dual board certification in internal medicine and nephrology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Sharif also maintains a professional membership with the American Society of Nephrology. Dr. Sharif credits his success to his perseverance and hard work, and in his spare time enjoys jogging, reading, hiking, and running. He is fluent in English, French and Farsi (Persian).
