The awards, now in their 7th year, champion, toast and reward the best achievements of those incredible businesses across Blackburn and Darwen, and are a showcase of the very best in the borough that puts a spotlight on the incredible achievements, quality, success, diversity and commitment businesses have to the region and to the industry in which they operate.
The awards are one of the biggest events that the Hive Steering Group puts on each year and are designed to both raise the profile of local companies and really celebrate what businesses are doing both in terms of their own growth and success but also in how they are improving Blackburn with Darwen as a place to invest, work and live in.
Essentialise Workplace Wellbeing is a finalist in:
Micro Business of the Year
The Health, Wellbeing & Social Care Award
New Business of the Year
Lee Chambers is a finalist in:
HIVE Entrepreneur of the Year
The interviews to decide the category winners are taking place during the week of the 20th September, with the finals taking place at the iconic King George’s Hall in Blackburn on 14th October 2021.
Lee Chambers commented: “As a resident of Blackburn, the HIVE Awards have been something I’ve seen grow and become a real occasion and celebration for the region. We are so happy that we are finalists, and certainly didn’t expect to find ourselves up for multiple awards. There’s a lot of pleasure as we are up against friends and collaborators who have amazing businesses that are both more established and larger than ours. We are going to enjoy the process, do our best in the interviews and enjoy the event as a real night to remember after a challenging start to the decade.”
The Hive Blackburn with Darwen Business Network launched in autumn 2016, uniting businesses, organisations and individuals across the area in a powerful network to help develop and promote Blackburn and Darwen, challenge perceptions and raise the profile of the area.
