Detroit, Michigan – The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Ashraf E. Mohamed, MD, Neurologist, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. He is a highly-trained and qualified neurologist with a vast expertise inall facets of his work, including the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders and pain related to neurological disease states such as neuropathy, brain and spine disorders. Dr. Mohamed has been practicing for over twenty-seven years and is currently serving patients at the University Pain Clinic in Detroit, Michigan. He performs Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Studies and also acts as Director of the Neurophysiology Lab. Furthermore, Dr. Mohamed is affiliated with the Detroit Medical Center.
Dr. Mohamed obtained his medical degree in 1985. He interned at the Medical College of Ohio and served his residency at Henry Ford Hospital. He completed his Fellowships in Electromyography and Anesthesiology/Pain Medicine through Wayne State School of Medicine/DMC. Dr. Mohamed has been recognized for all of his achievements in 2009, 2010, and 2011 with the Most Passionate Doctor in the United States Award. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has also received board certifications in headache medicine in 2012 and pain medicine in 2013. He attributes his success to his father’s support as a young boy, and his mother and children’s support today.
Dr. Mohamed stays at the forefront of a challenging profession through his professional society memberships with the American Medical Association, the Egyptian Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and The Movement Disorder Society. Dr. Mohamed dedicates his spare time to soccer and reading.
