Elan Yogeswaren Goes Live With Campaign On Kickstarter For Smartphone App For Disaster Planning, Survival And Recovery

Elan Yogeswaren announces Kickstarter campaign for crowdfunding of his smartphone app for real time disaster planning, survival and recovery.

Elan Yogeswaren, a man passionate about environment and human race, and a geoscience and geo-engineering expert, has announced launch of campaign on Kickstarter for Geo Scale. It is a real time app conceptualized and developed by Elan for monitoring impact of disasters. It acts as a guide for planning, survival and recovery on iOS and Android.

“My personal experience in dealing with disaster during the flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 in Houston has made me aware of need of a system that can help in disaster planning, survival and recovery,” says Elan Yogeswaren. “It was scary that I could not find reliable information nor could I make my way back home that was not really far away. It was then that I decided to use my expertise and access to technology development resources to use to create a disaster monitoring and survival app for cloud-based big data analytics.”

Elan has lived in Houston since 1980. He became aware of the critical need for an independent smartphone app for disaster planning and survival after having been directly impacted by the Hurricane Harvey on August 26, 2017. The flooding nearly drowned him but he was rescued and ended up living in a shelter. It was during these difficult and challenging times that Elan discovered the need for an app that can provide real time and reliable information that could be critical for survival and recovery.

Elan realized that the technology development resources available at GeoScale, the company founded to discover more oil and gas, could be redeployed to deliver real time environment and disaster monitoring and survival app for a cloud based big data analytics on a smartphone.

According to Elan, he realized that the revolutionary technology available in machine learning applications in areas as diverse as medicine and oil exploration can also be useful in monitoring the impact of any disaster on environment. At the same time, it can also alert the app user of any impending harm and suggest actions that need to be taken for survival in the short term and the long term.

Elan Yogeswaren is partnering with many big companies and universities for the purpose and together they are in the process of building a cloud based software system for oilfield applications. They hope to develop, configure and integrate existing elements of software to monitor environmental disasters and provide location based real time guidance that can be vital for planning, survival and recovery. There are plans to introduce a fully functional beta version in the second quarter of 2018.

Elan Yogeswaren is looking to raise $30,000 through crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The deadline for the funding amount to be raised is 4 November, 2017.
