ED SHEERAN SHOOTS FOR REGGAE GRAMMY AWARD

For the 2019 Grammy awards for best reggae album Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica is definitely a hit album in America amongst the young reggae fans. One of the reasons is because pop star Ed Sheeran is on the album with two songs featuring his cousin Jethro Sheeran. The album spent 19 weeks on the Billboard Reggae album chart and 4 weeks at #1. Ed and his cousin Jethro grew up being fans of reggae as teenagers growing up in England.

“As huge fans of reggae, it would mean the world to myself and my cousin Jethro to win a Grammy for such a great record with such amazing talent with some incredible artists. I think we should win this Grammy hands down, look at the stats, just listen to the album! It’s incredible and I think it’s the best reggae album that has been released that I’ve heard. It has some of my own and my cousin Jethro’s favorite artists on the album and it’s an honor to be up there alongside such legends,” says Ed Sheeran.

The album Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica was executive produced by the Contractor Music Group and distributed by Amada Records. The album is a compilation of several hits from reggae’s biggest names including Damian and Stephen Marley, Wyclef Jean, Mojo Morgan from Morgan Heritage, Lee Scratch Perry, Sean Kingston, Safaree, newcomer Katie Bates, Sizzla and many more.
