East County Transitional Living Center Honors 2020 Graduates

East County Transitional Living Center was thrilled to host a ceremony to honor program, high school, and grade school graduates as well as those who received their GED, in the ECTLC community. Although graduation celebrations this year were different from past years, ECTLC wanted to recognize all of the hard work and dedication of the students.

All of the students have bright futures ahead of them, two of the high school graduates earned honors for their GPA’s and have been accepted into their first-choice colleges. Two ECTLC members being recognized for earning their GED were unable to attend because they had already found employment while another was accepted to the coast guard! ECTLC is extremely proud of them and their drive.

At the ceremony, everyone was able to gather and honor the participants. David Mayshiro Ed.D., Superintendent of the Cajon Valley Union School District attended and was the featured speaker of the event. He discussed the possibilities every graduate has to have a great future full of success.

The success of the students can largely be attributed to Georginne Parisi, the on-site GED teacher from Grossmont Adult Education. Through her hard work and care, she was able to help and assist students throughout the year to achieve their goals!
