For the next few years he would write and record songs and at the age of 23, Browne released his debut album Jackson Browne (Asylum Records). The album included the hit singles “Rock Me on the Water” and “Doctor My Eyes,” which reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Hold Out, gave Jackson Browne his first #1 album on the Billboard pop charts. The album included two singles that charted on the Billboard charts, with “Boulevard” making it to #19 and “That Girl Could Sing” peaking at #22.
Over the years Browne has written and recorded classic songs like “These Days”, “The Pretender”, “Running on Empty”, “Lawyers in Love”, “Doctor My Eyes”, “Take It Easy”, “For a Rocker”, and “Somebody’s Baby”.
In 2004, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH.
