Effective in January 2017, Worrell will serve on the board of the Carolinas Virginia Business Brokers Association while continuing in his role as partner at Fuse Financial Partners. He is honored by his election to this prestigious body.
“My passion is for working with small business owners and expanding their access to different opportunities and resources,” Worrell says. “That’s what I’ve always sought to do at Fuse, and I’m happy to now be doing so through my board membership at CVBBA.”
According to the organization’s website, “The Carolinas Virginia Business Brokers Association is a non-profit corporation created to unite those engaged in the sale of business opportunities in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.” More specifically, the organization seeks to promote the professional development of its members; to support an efficient environment for the sale and purchase of businesses; and to encourage members in the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
CVBBA is board-governed, and the role of the board members is to expand the pool of resources and tools that members have to draw on. This fits into Worrell’s skillset as a consultant, writer, and CFO. Worrell is the author of The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Financial Statements (Praeger Press, 2014) and consults with entrepreneurs around the world about maximizing the value and sustainability of their companies.
