Now in its 25th year, the Mazatlán Cultural Festival unites artists, musicians, dancers, and performers worldwide to display their unique talents to the people of Mazatlán; one of Mexico’s most culturally vibrant cities. Taking place over the course of seven weeks, the Mazatlán Cultural Festival will feature 32 shows in several popular venues in Mazatlán including the Angela Peralta Theater, the Downtown historic center, and the Haas House Museum. This year, the festival will be under the supervision of Raul Rico Gonzalez; the general director of the Institute of Culture of Mazatlán. According to Gonzalez, 811 individual artists and performers will be participating in this event and over 60-percent of the events will be free to the public.
In addition to the Mazatlán Cultural Festival, ECVC members can also enjoy the performances, activities, and workshops during the 8th annual international theater festival, “Escena Mazatlán”, which will be held from September 22nd to September 29th and culminates with a performance of “Romeo and Juliet.”
