Countries To Come Together For International Remembrance Weekend On Dec. 4-6, 2020

New York City – This year on December 4th, 5th and 6th, memorials and tributes will be held all around the world in honor of the elderly, Veterans and all of our fellow humans and loved ones who lost their lives in long-term facilities due to COVID-19.

Many countries, groups and individuals have signed up to participate. Some countries involved besides the U.S. include Russia, Japan, Germany, Mexico.

During the past six months, the world has watched in shock as our most vulnerable population – the vulnerable elderly and those with compromised health – fell like dominoes as the COVID-19 virus swept through the country like wildfire.

Loved ones and family members did not have a chance to say goodbye to Grandma or Grandpa as rules prohibited visitors.

Part of the blame falls on various agencies of federal, local and state government apparatus. Some American citizens in particular feel strongly about the failure of our elected leaders to provide rapid responses and better protection for the people, especially the elderly trapped in nursing homes.
