SCOTTSDALE, AZ – October 20, 2026 – Corporate Data Solutions (CDSI), a Scottsdale-based managed IT provider and Microsoft Partner, is expanding its support for businesses adopting Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI agents. As part of that effort, Kyle Kuball, Technical Support Manager, has earned the Microsoft 365 Certified: Copilot and Agent Administration Fundamentals certification, which focuses on supporting, securing, and governing AI within Microsoft 365.
Microsoft has been steadily building Copilot and AI agents into the Microsoft 365 tools businesses already use, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and SharePoint. For many small and mid-sized organizations, the question is no longer whether AI will show up in their daily work, but whether their environment is set up to handle it safely.
Much of that comes down to permissions. Copilot draws on the files, emails, chats, and SharePoint sites each user already has access to. In many organizations, those permissions have built up over years, with folders shared broadly for convenience and access rarely reviewed. Once Copilot is turned on, information that was technically accessible but hard to find can surface in a simple prompt.
The Copilot and Agent Administration Fundamentals certification, earned by passing Microsoft exam AB-900, addresses these issues directly. It covers Microsoft 365 identity and access controls, including multi-factor authentication, conditional access, and single sign-on, along with data protection and governance tasks such as identifying oversharing in SharePoint, applying Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender protections, and monitoring how Copilot and AI agents are being used across an organization.
CDSI works with organizations of 10 to 100 users across the greater Phoenix area, many of which run their operations on Microsoft 365. The company’s approach is to help clients evaluate whether Copilot is a good fit, prepare their environment before licenses are purchased, and monitor adoption afterward so they can see whether the investment is paying off.
“Our clients are hearing about Copilot everywhere, and a lot of them are asking us whether it’s worth it and whether it’s safe,” said Derek Achterfeldt, President of Corporate Data Solutions. “We’ve always taken a Microsoft-first approach, and we don’t recommend tools that won’t benefit the client. Having Kyle certified in Copilot and AI administration means we can give clients a straight answer and help them roll it out the right way.“
CDSI has provided managed IT services for more than 20 years. The company offers unlimited support, with phones answered within three rings by a technician and support available directly through Microsoft Teams.
