Community Organizations Support South Bay Families

South Bay Union School District is grateful for the generosity and support provided by community organizations throughout the year!

South Bay families received 250 holiday meal baskets for the Thanksgiving season from the Tarbut V’Torah Community Day School. San Diego Councilmember David Alvarez and California American Water graciously donated 40 turkeys, which were used to create complete meals for families.

Through generous donations from North Island Credit Union and the Optimist Club of Imperial Beach, over 75 meal baskets and numerous toys were distributed to South Bay families for the December holidays. In addition, 24 students were honored for outstanding attendance with new bicycles and helmets in December by the Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce.

In support of the District’s goal to increase attendance, at the end of each school year, Derek Jones Insurance Services and North Island Credit recognize students with perfect attendance with new bicycles and helmets.

South Bay thanks these organizations and many others including the San Diego Padres, the Kiwanis Club of Imperial Beach/South Bay, Mission Federal Credit Union, and the Boys & Girls Club for their continued support for the entire South Bay community.
