CoCo Events and Experiences celebrates women in business at the 2nd annual Creative Entrepreneurial Women’s event

The 2nd edition of the Creative Entrepreneurial Women tagged “Securing Their Legacy For The Future” to be hosted by CoCo Events and Experiences on April 28th, 2018

CoCo Events and Experiences, a Miami event planner has announced that the 2nd edition of the annual Creative Entrepreneurial Women’s event organized to celebrate women in business that have succeeded against all odds will be held on the 28th April 2018, at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, with successful women to be awarded at the panel and black tie event.

Women have often been sidelined over the years and the somewhat discrimination and bias that have silenced women across the globe have been more pronounced in the business world. Consequently, it is relatively more difficult for women to succeed as entrepreneurs and in business in general, with an article on Richtopia stating, “Statistics show that only 11% of start-up businesses have female founders or CEOs, out of the 11%, only 0.1% manage a global business.” However, some women have demonstrated perseverance to become successful and exemplary entrepreneurs in the chosen field against all odds. Such women deserve all the accolades they can get and CoCo Events and Experiences have made it a duty to appreciate and celebrate such amazing alpha females with the annual Creative Entrepreneurial Women event.

The 2018 edition of the event is tagged “Creative Entrepreneurial Women: Securing Their Legacy for the Future”, and it is organized to celebrate women succeeding in entrepreneurship and paving a way for the next generation of trail blazers and innovators.

Some of the women on the panel are Lynda V. Harris, Jennifer Blanc, and Katherine Fils, with each of the recipients excelling significantly in their chosen field.

Jennifer Blanc is a principal attorney and counsellor-at-law at ASSURANCE LEGAL, LLC. She attended The John Marshall Law School and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from The University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, IL. Her passion for excellence has helped her in her career path, receiving several professional awards and recommendations including recommendation for Judge by the Women’s Bar Association of IL and Puerto Rican Bar Association in 2012, Presidential Award at Cook County Bar Association in 2009, and found to be Extremely Knowledgeable and Commended for Outstanding Community Service Record by the Chicago Council of Lawyers in 2012.

Lynda V. Harris is the Vice President of The Henderson Financial Group, Inc. and has been co-hosting a radio talk show “Understanding Money” heard on WBIZ, 880 AM in Miami for the past decade. Born, raised, and educated in Miami-Dade County, Lynda is a Licensed Financial Advisor with over 20 years in the financial services industry in Miami Dade County, Florida. Lynda has received several awards and held positions in high places in top organizations including the 2016 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama, Chairwoman of the Women’s Business Council of the Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the African American Financial Advisors Association.

Katherine Fils is another woman of power and passion, who has continuously demonstrated her love for excellence and education. She obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in 2008 at Jacksonville University and is currently working on her Doctorate’s degree at Barry University. She worked as a teacher in Public Schools and at the collegiate level and also founded her entrepreneurial spirit when friends and family often enlisted her to coordinate social events and dinner parties. This urge from her family friends gave birth to the founding of Coco Events and Experiences as well as Cocktailz and Coconutz, a Miami based Lifestyle Brand.

These three, amongst other exceptional and amazing women will be recognized at the forthcoming event that will be held on April 28th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at The Little Haiti Cultural Center, 212 NE 59th Terrace, Miami, FL. 33137.

The black tie event will not only celebrate successful female entrepreneurs and business executives, but will also offer attendees the opportunity to learn from the experiences and insights of wonderful panel members.
