Canada is a developed country in North America that is located just above the United States. Travel to Canada has become increasingly popular in recent years, but many people are unclear how to get there. The Canadian government has compiled a list of countries whose citizens do not need a standard visa to enter the country. As a Croatian, you do not need a visa to enter Canada. The reason for this is that Croatians are not eligible to apply for a visa to Canada. However, if you are flying to Canada, you must ask for an ETA. The Canadian government introduced the Canadian eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) in 2016 to facilitate entry for foreign visitors. Croatian citizens are required to apply for a Canada eTA visa to enter Canada for short-term for general tourism, business, transit or medical purposes. Croatians are among the visa-exempt citizens who can visit Canada and apply for the Canadian eTA. This is an online travel permit. It is valid for 5 years and grants Croatian citizens multiple entries with a permitted stay of up to 6 months at each visit. Croatian passport holders can apply for the Canadian eTA from the comfort of their home or office by accessing the online application form. The entire process takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish.

In 2015, the Canadian government established this online visa waiver for specified countries. Czech citizens do not require a visa to visit Canada for tourism, business, or simply transit on their way somewhere else. The Canadian eTA is a legal online travel authorization. Citizens of the Czech Republic traveling to Canada may enter the country with a Canadian eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization). Czech residents must apply for a Canada eTA visa to enter Canada for tourist, business, transit, or medical reasons. It is valid for five years and allows Czech citizens to stay for up to six months every visit. When the eTA is approved, it is electronically linked to the traveler’s passport. Travelers wishing to travel to Canada for other reasons such as study or work should contact the nearest Canadian embassy or consulate for more information. Czech travelers who meet all Canadian eTA requirements can start completing the eTA application form online. The form is a simple online questionnaire that takes 20 minutes to complete.

Whatever your purpose for visiting Canada, bear in mind that Finnish citizens need a visa waiver or a visa to enter the country lawfully. To visit Canada for a short period of time, Finnish citizens, like many other nationalities, do not need to apply for a visa. This is due to the fact that Finnish citizens are not required to obtain a visa. The Canadian government created the Canadian eTA for Finnish nationals in 2016, which is obtained with a simple online application, eliminating the requirement to apply in person at an embassy. For short-term entrance into Canada for general tourism, business, transit, or medical purposes, Finnish citizens must apply for a Canada eTA visa. An approved eTA for Canada is a multiple entry travel authorization allowing a total stay of up to 6 months with each entry. Once your Canadian electronic Permit has been issued, it will automatically be ‘linked’ to your Finnish passport. The good thing about the new Canadian eTA is that it is valid for five years (or until your passport expires, whichever comes first). The process of obtaining a Canadian eTA takes less than 30 minutes online, so there is no need to visit an embassy or meet in person. Travelers can have their visa waiver approved in minutes.
CANADIAN ETA REQUIREMENTS FOR FINNISH PASSPORT HOLDERS
- A valid Finnish bio-metric passport – All travelers who want to get a Canadian eTA must have a bio-metric and machine-readable passport, since the visa is electronically linked to the traveler’s passport. It is also recommended to have at least 6 months of validity in your passport
- Personal information – While filling out the application, all travelers will need to provide information that pertains to their passport, personal information (address, contact information), employment, and travel details/itinerary
- A valid form of payment – Travelers will need a valid form of payment, such as a debit or credit card, to pay the eTA application fees
- E-mail address– while the Canada ETA is electronically linked to your passport, you will obtain a copy of the authorization via e-mail in PDF format. It’s recommended to print one physical copy out just in case you need it.

Nationals of more than 50 visa-free countries, including France, have been allowed to apply for the Canadian eTA since its inception in 2015. French citizens can travel to Canada using their Canadian eTA for tourism, business, family visits, or transit. Because of a faster online application process, it allows French nationals to enter Canada without a visa. The Canada Electronic Travel Authorization, often known as the Canadian eTA, is a visa waiver for bearers of French passports. Before traveling to Canada for business or leisure, French visitors must have a valid visa waiver valid for up to six months. The Canadian eTA offers several benefits. First, with their Canadian eTA, French people can stay in Canada for a maximum of six months at a time. The Canadian eTA for French citizens is valid for 5 years or until the traveler’s passport expires (whichever comes first). The Canada Travel Permit is a multiple-entry visa waiver and allows French travelers to enter and exit Canada as many times as they wish during its period of validity. Thanks to an online initiative by the Canadian government, French citizens no longer have to go through a lengthy application process to obtain a Canada visa waiver from France. French travelers can obtain the eTA for Canada by filling out a simple online application form. The system is easy to use and filling out the form usually takes no more than 15 minutes.

Estonian citizens planning a brief trip to Canada, whether for leisure, to visit family, to attend a conference or business meeting, for medical treatment, or in transit, can apply for a Canadian Electronic Travel Authorization, or eTA. In 2015, Canada eTA was distributed in 60 countries. The purpose of the new system is to enable officials handle foreigners’ entry into the country more quickly. Travelers will benefit from shorter border lines and a more pleasant travel experience as a result. The document is linked to the applicant’s passport number and is electronically stored in Canada’s immigration system. The Canadian eTA is valid for a total of 5 years and can be used for multiple entries of up to 90 days each. To extend your stay in Canada, you must apply for a new eTA at least 30 days in advance. Most requests are processed in just a few minutes. However, travelers are advised to apply for the eTA at least 72 hours before departure in case of delays or requests for additional information.
